May 25, 2012...waiting

We got here this morning and drew labs, talked to our urologist and the surgical nurse and then we found out his hemoglobin was 4.4. For those of you not familiar with hemoglobin levels, yours or mine might be around 13 or so. For cancer patients, they are typically transfused if it falls below 8. On Wednesday Clayton's was 9.6 and today less than 48 hours later it is 4.4. That's a problem. It means that we have to wait and do the cystoscopy later. So for now we are waiting on blood to do a transfusion and then we will shoot for the cystoscopy around 1.
Until later...
