So here is the story from yesterday. No one could get hold of BCBS so we finally tracked down the company they contract with for medical flights on our own. However, because we are "leaving our place of residence" they could not make arrangements for the flight until they got approval from someone at BCBS. Had we been flying home they could have just done it. So let's recap, if your sick and trying to go get better you can't fly out without approval, but if your well and flying home they just come right over and scoop you up. The doctors, the social worker, AirMedical, us, no one could reach ANYBODY at BCBS. It was crazy! Finally, after spending hours (literally) exhausting his contacts, Dr. Terry reached a friend of his who happens to be an executive at BCBS. Needless to say that got things moving.
Once again, Clayton gets to be a little rockstar jetting off to NYC on his own private plane. We are scheduled to depart Mobile at 10:35. For now, my mother is going to go with me since that had been the plan for scans and depending on what they say, George will follow suit if necessary. Off we go...more later...

Yea, that's him under the blanket. He likes it under there!
